What Happens During a Root Canal?
Root canals typically take place in one visit. First, your dentist will treat the interior of your tooth, removing the source of the pain and infection. After cleaning and making sure no bacteria remain left behind, we will restore its structure by filling it with an antimicrobial material called gutta percha. Then, a permanent crown over the top of your treated tooth can be made to protect it.
