Get to Know Dr. Tracy Murray
Dr. Murray knew he wanted to be a dentist since he was a senior in high school, as he had always wanted to work in a medical field and liked being able to create things with his hands. Today, he has been practicing for over 40 years. The opportunity to provide care for his wonderful patients and keep them healthy with beautiful smiles has been rewarding every step of the way, and he can’t wait to welcome you into his practice.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Murray attended The Ohio State University, where he earned his undergraduate degree, DDS, and also completed his general practice residency. Even though he has been out of school for a long time, he has never stopped learning. Over the course of his career, he’s taken over 3,000 hours of continuing education, several times the amount required by the state and beyond most other dental professionals. His commitment to staying at the forefront of dentistry is partly why he’s been a staple in Portsmouth for so many years.
Dr. Murray is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Crown Council, and a past Secretary and Treasurer of the Southern Ohio Dental Society. He’s also a graduate of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), one of the most elite post-graduate institutions in the world.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Most of Dr. Murray’s free time is dedicated to his family, including his wife, Rhonda, their six children, and 10 grandchildren! When he’s not making memories with them, you’ll often find him fishing, gardening, woodworking, or hunting.
